For Karyl Gaehring, worship is more than music—it is ministry.

Karyl is a professional keyboardist, worship leader, vocalist, speaker, and Christian music mentor with decades of experience in worship and ministry. A gifted play-by-ear musician, she has the ability to work naturally with worship teams, bands, vocalists, and ministry leaders in a variety of musical settings.

For 15 years, Karyl played keyboard as part of the worship band in a mega church, and throughout the years has had the opportunity to accompany well-known ministers, speakers, soloists, and other gifted musicians all over the world.

Earlier in her ministry, Karyl was also part of The Castaways Band, a Christian band with a special outreach ministry bringing music and the message of Jesus to young people in prisons.

Her passion for developing other Christian musicians led her to own and operate VHM Studio in Greenville, South Carolina, a Christian Artist Training Studio dedicated to helping Christian musicians and vocalists develop their gifts both vocally and musically for ministry.

Today, Karyl continues to love playing keyboard with worship teams and gospel bands, accompanying singers and speakers, and leading worship herself. When she speaks at conferences, retreats, churches, and special events, she especially enjoys incorporating worship into her ministry.

Karyl believes that great worship isn't simply about playing the right notes. It's about helping create an atmosphere where people can encounter the presence of God.
